Depressed by low score

by vikram4689 » Fri Apr 29, 2011 4:48 am
I got extremely low score 670 (50 Q, 30 V). I do not feel that my verbal is so bad and i never felt like having such a low score when i giving the test. I was looking for at least 700+ but now i want to swap the digits to prove my capability. Yes, I want to make it 760 in a month. I think my biggest problem is that i do not keep track of my mistakes though i review each and every test of mine but i do not note down where i was wrong in each test. Any suggestions how should i take that in to account and any other suggestions that will aid me to achieve my goal are welcome.

Well, first I don't think 670 is really a very low score. GMAT score is important but its not the only important thing in your application, if I am not wrong. Well even I want to know the answer for the next question, that is getting 760, because I am going to appear only on May 31st.
If I am wrong correct me :), If my post helped let me know by clicking the Thanks button ;).

@sivaelectric : My experience is low so i want higher score. I was surprised to see such low score because while giving the exam i never left so. As far as 760 is concerned, it's battle of ego :)

I did review all my gmatprep and mgmat's and i never got such a low score in verbal. in mgmat my average was around 35. I have heard some of error logs, has anyone used that. I came to know that it is very helpful as you can keep track of your mistakes and therefore put your efforts on those. Can anyone enlighten me on this topic.......

If you've done so much review on verbal, it is somewhat odd. I've had a very similar issue to yours so I've switched gears to Verbal.

I would say look at practice tests and pinpoint which questions you got wrong the most (mine was sentence correction, which accounted for ~60-70% of my incorrect answers).
