Nova vs Rebound

Jill: In our survey 53% of those questioned said they used Nova Running shoes for jogging and 47% said they used Rebound Running shoes for jogging.

Jack: In that case everyone questioned used one product or the other.

Jill: No, 24% said they didn't use either one.

Jill's statements imply that:

A. not all of those questioned liked to go jogging.
B. Some of those who said they used either Nova or Rebound Running shoes for jogging were lying.
C. Some of those who said they used either Nova Running shoes for jogging were among those who also used Rebound Running shoes for jogging.
D. Some of those who used neither product were nevertheless familiar with Nova and Rebound Running shoes
E. Many Nova and Rebound Running shoes are actually made in the same factory in various international locations.

This looked like a quant question.

I would go with C

Total = grp1+grp2-both+neither

both=34


Since its a inference questions the answer choice can always be proved by referring back to the facts in the stimulus.


Some of those who said they used either Nova Running shoes for jogging were among those who also used Rebound Running shoes for jogging

I can narrow down to either B or C. Assuming that almost 24% are lying seems far fetched so would go with C.

Rest of the options are either irrlevant or directly mentioned in the stimulus (not inferred).

I thought that both would come to 24% I did not get 34.

100 = 47+53-both+24

both = 24.
