QUESTION:When it rains,my car gets wet.Since it hasn,t rained recently,my car cant be wet.

Which of the following is logically most similar to the argument above.

(A) Whenever critics give a play a favorable review, people go to see it,pinters new play did not receive favorable reviews,so i doubt that anyone will go to see it.

(B) Whenever people go to see a play, critics give it a favorable review, people did go to see pinters new play,so it did get a favorable review.

(c)Whenever critics give a play a favorable review, people go to see it,pinters new play got favorable reviews,so people will probably go to see it.

(D)Whenever a play is given favorable reviews by the critics, people go to see it,since people are going to see pinters new play,it will probably get favorable reviews.

(E)Whenever critics give a play a favorable review, people go to see it,people are not going to see pinters new play,so it did not get favorable reviews.

I saw this question in ARCO S GMAT.According to them the anwser is A.but in my opinion the answer must be C.Please correct me if i m wrong.Thanks.

When it rains,my car gets wet.Since it hasn,t rained recently,my car cant be wet.
When A, then B. Since NOT A, then probably NOT B.

A is correct because it mimics the same structure of the given sentences.

Whenever (A) critics give a play a favorable review , (B) people go to see it, (NOT A)pinters new play did not receive favorable reviews, (NOT B) so I doubt that anyone will go to see it.

"I doubt" means that "I think no one will go to see it". => Negative meaning or NOT's meaning.

C's structure is :
Whenever (A) critics give a play a favorable review, (B) people go to see it, (A) pinters new play got favorable reviews,so (B) people will probably go to see it.

Or Whenever A occurs, then B. A occured, so B will probably occur.

This is different from the given structure.
