"becaus of " vs "due to"

Only when due to can be replaced by " be caused " it is correct then.

due to is different from because of. for example

the football match was canceled because of rain ( correct ) but the football match was canceled due to rain ( incorrect )

the football match's cancel was due to rain ( correct ) because in this case the football match's cancel was caused by rain.

Is this clear?

To recap: only when due to can be replaced by " be caused " the use of due to is correct.

Because of and due to/owing to are similar in use.
because of is a two word prepositional phrase and is placed before noun/pronoun.

ex -

Due to the bad weather, the match was cancelled.
Because of the bad weather, the match was cancelled.
