@clock: that you equate two y-s by knowing your y's signs shouldn't allow for canceling your x-s too?

I also feel this DS somehow got lucky to have both x and y of the same sign and making direct proportional change in the linear function between two slopes and y-intercepts. I am wondering about other possible scenarios, what would happen with Anurag's solution then and I guess the solution proposed by madhan, when we have selected common x and y coordinates (crossing point) and applied the other two possible coordinates for two lines r and s with different signs in order to obtain various slopes with various equation lines - this would be sensible solution? what do yo think?

r=y=k1*x+b1
s=y=k2*x+b2, we need to estimate whether b2>b1.
...
i did not cancel x as i don`t know the sign

hi Night reader
honesly i don`t know about other posible scenarios, may it is better to take any similar task and elaborate it.
when i solved this one for the first time my initial answer was B-wrong, because i canceled x,
but even now with anshumishra`s appreciation, i am not too sure that my solution is valid.
But for sure i can`t replicate Anurag`s solution in test constraints, even i got what is his idea
