E would be right if it mant to say that the food contained either antibiotics, hormones or pesticides and in addition the food was irradiated or genetically modified.

Here it means to say its or of all clause and no ands anywhere.

Almost reminds me of Venn diagrams, :)

Just a small point on the bold part.

E would still have been wrong.

E says that -

This suggests that the prohibition would occur not when the food is irradiated or genetically modified. but when the food contains anything that has been irradiated or genetically modified.

So, even with an or, E would have been wrong.

Basic idea ..........logic dictates that all should be "or" since anything on its won can make the food non-USDA approved or whatever it is .........
