If you subtract Triangle PQR from Triangle LMN then the Triangle LMN is no more a Triangle but a weird irregular Hexagon name MLPQRN
As per solving you can either calculate the individual area of each and divide or can try the below method.
We know Area = (Base*Height)/2
So Area PQR/Area LMN = [PR*height of (PQR) ] / [LN * height of (LMN)]
= 4*4/12*12 = 1/9.
