Good day
in the idiom section of Manhattan SC page 159 I found the
Right: The leader MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR us TO RESIST oppression.
(Note: The IT properly refers to rhe infinitive TO RESIS'f.)
WRONG:The leader MADE POSSIBLE TO RESIST oppression.
My question is: I'm looking for good reason to understand what makes the last sentence wrong, I know its idioms and there is nothing to explain about them, but in many idiom cases I found straight forward reasons which have helped to memorize them .
Thanks in advance [/b]
