College Senior Profile Evaluation

My name is Blake and I am currently a senior at the University of Mississippi and have my heart set on applying for SMU's accelerated admission MBA. What are your thoughts on my chances for accelerated admission @ SMU?

From the SMU website, "The Accelerated Admission option allows students to apply at college graduation and defer their enrollment after gaining 24-60 months of full-time work experience."

Thanks for the post.

Your internships and extracurricular experiences appear to be quite strong and should be compelling to the SMU admissions officers, particularly your private equity work experience and formal leadership roles in college.

Your academics are slightly below the average for the program, but still within the likely 40-50% range. SMU's average GMAT is 639 and average GPA is 3.4 (Class of 2014).

It will be important for your recommendation letters and application materials to mitigate your perceived weaknesses (quantitative abilities, dedication to academics, and maturity) and highlight your perceived strengths (leadership, career focus, career growth potential).
