Hi,

I am exploring Georgia WebMBA online MBA program. I have been already accepted by Kennesaw State University's Coles College of Business and awaiting acceptance from Columbus State University's Turner College of Business. I wanted to know which of these two colleges have more reputation at national level and how well accepted/recognized is the Georgia WebMBA by the employers?

Best Regards,
Shekhar

Never heard of any of those schools, so I would say none of the above. I think Devry's Keller Graduate school of management has better name recognition than those three schools. LOL.

I'm not trying to be mean, but you seriously need to look at an MBA as an investment (not only your money, but also your time). Not knowing either of these two schools, I really couldn't tell you the ROI, but would strongly encourage you to make sure going to either of these two schools will be worth your time and money.

Also, many individuals/companies are skeptical about individual that attend online MBA programs, because online MBA programs are perceived to have low admissions standards, low quality of education, poor alumni networks, and a poor ROI.

Thanks, Abe. Appreciate your inputs.

Actually I am a working professional with 15 years of industry experience and online MBA better suits me as I don't want to quit my job. I researched part-time MBA programs in my area (Columbus, OH) but did not find any better options. Fisher College of Business is the only reputed school close to me but they take around 3.5-5 years to complete their part-time MBA and would cost around 50 grand. All the schools I mentioned are AACSB accredited whereas DeVry's Keller school is not :). I am still thinking what to do.

Best Regards,
Shekhar

What is your GMAT? What are you trying to do with your MBA/what is your intention of getting this degree (i.e. career advancement, career change, intellectual curiosity, etc.)?

I have not taken the GMAT as yet. Moreover, the GMAT has been waived off for me by Coles in lieu of my work experience. My main objective of getting into MBA program is career advancement and seeking senior leadership role in the organization in a long run.

Hi Shekhar,

The Coles College Part-Time MBA program is ranked #29 in the nation, #4 in the South by Bloomberg Businessweek, whereas I don't believe Turner College makes the list. You can see a list of more Coles College accolades here: https://coles.kennesaw.edu/rankings/

Regarding our reputation outside of rankings, we are located just 20 minutes north of Atlanta and we are well recognized in the Atlanta business community. We have students and alumni with great accomplishments from local entrepreneurs to executives at AT&T, Coca-Cola, and more.

I just completed the Part-Time MBA on campus and I work for the Coles College. You can email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.
