OK, it means you have to select a really good one and write about it. The terms are even for all candidates, you are not the only one who suffer from this.

Regarding promotions, I was wondering if moving to a better position in another company (same industry) is considered promotion? or do you have to be promoted in the same company?

Yes, I'd only consider it a promotion if you were promoted in the same company.

Very good point regarding promotions, however i think that even moving to a different role in another company may be considered as promotion if you can explain why your new role is better or more senior, like moving from being an engineer in a team to managing a team (in another company).

Another thing about the work experience in this tool that i don't understand is the fact that managing people in a project is not impressive - some projects can last over a year, and managing people during such projects is a substantial contribution to one's work experience, so why give only one third of the points?

You're right, in that case you should probably get more points, and regardless of this tool you should mention on your resume how much time the project lasted and how many people you managed.

I also have some reservations regarding the importance of promotions. What if I'm an entrepreneur? I can't get promoted but it doesn't mean I'm not successful at what I do, right?

I see what you mean, as an entrepreneur you start as founder/CEO and can't be promoted. I guess in that case you just need to show the successful progress of your company and the actions you took to make it successful.

I just took this test and i think i did pretty well. it really made me think hard on all details of my work experience, even stuff i already forgot.
