I know this isn't exactly strategy but I wasn't sure where else to put it. I recently took two practice CATs through Knewton and my verbal scores, to me, make no sense.
On the first test I got 29/41 correct. 17 out of the first 20 correct and 12 out of the last 21. In the last 21 I had two consecutive wrong answers once and three consecutive wrong answers once. They were actually next to each other so at one point I had 5 out of 6 incorrect. Final score: 40 (89th percentile).
Second test I got 32/41 correct. 17 out of the first 20 correct again and 15 out of the last 21. At no point did I answer two or more questions incorrectly consecutively. Final score: 37 (81st percentile).
How is this possible? Thanks in advance!
