Mr.Blatt: Expert consultants are sought after by management because they help executives make better decisions. That is why they are worth the substantial fees they charge.

Ms. Fring: Nonsense. Expert consultants are hired in order to enable executives to avoid responsibility. The more the experts cost, the more they can be blamed when things go wrong.

Which one of the following, if it occurred, would be the strongest evidence favoring Ms.Fring's position over Mr. Blatt's position?

(A) A company that is trying to decide whether to move its manufacturing plant hires an expensive expert to conduct a cost/benefit analysis.

(B) Two competing companies faced with very similar problems adopt different solutions.

(C) A successful firm of expert consultants seeks to increase its volume of business by reducing its fees, but its volume of business drops.

(D) An expert consultant builds up a successful business by charging clients a substantial percentage of the amount an independent assessor judges that the consultant saved the company.

(E) A company follows a consultant's advice to open two new stores, but both stores are only marginally profitable at first.

Option A: Wrong
Here, the help of an expert is needed for situational analysis to show cause why its's going to be a positive or negative ventures. Allowing the company executive to handle such a visionary projects may be over-whelming ans self serving for them in which case we cant rule out the possibility of massive corruption.

Option B: Wrong
Different strokes for different folks they say. Allowing for better decisions to be made means you have to engage the service of expert consultants to help in that regards. The occupational expertise of company executives may be a bit transcend beyond the four walls of the company. Here, services of Expert consultants are needed.

Option C: Wrong
There is only one way this could have happened, sharp drop in patonage as a result of fading credibility in consulting market. Maybe due to one mistake or the other or one advise went wrong it'd be easy for the contracting company to place the blame on them since the bulk stops on the executives' table.

Option D: Wrong
This is a positive statement and does not in any way inhibit the success of the experts, those he has recorded to put him in a vantage position as against Ms Fring's assertions.

Option E: Right
This is exactly Ms Fring's position that it'd be easy to easily blame the expert consultants whenever things go wrong. A profit barely makes profit on the basis of advises given by an expert would not hesitate to blame him/her immediately.
