i am not going to write out the entire question, but basically my gmat prep book is stating that the number of miles driven rounded to the nearest 10 miles is 290 and the number of gallons used rounded to the nearest gallon is 12. the range of miles driven and gasoline used I WOULD ASSUME would be between 285 - 294 and 11.5 - 12.4. BUT the book is using the numbers 284 - 295 and 11.4 - 12.5. please explain how 11.4 rounded to the nearest gallon is 12 and not 11, and likewise for the miles driven.
