Reason for D to be incorrect: We only know that the first symbiotic stars detected outside the galaxy are in Large Cloud of Magellan BUT we do NOT know whether they are the ONLY stars. No info is provide for that.

Reason for E to be correct: Lines 28-32 mentions that there is scarcity of symbiotic stars & if all binary systems pass through symbiotic phase, the phase must be extremely small so that it is left undetected. Now E says the same thing with a different language, if the phases had been more than a million years than most of them would have been detected.
