440 V30/Q31 in GMAT

Hi All

On 4th August I took my GMAT and scored 440 V30/Q31 IR 2.
I was confident that I will do good on exam and WILL score well to apply to indian colleges but.My dream has ended for this year.There is loss of confidence now but still I gathered come courage to write this post.
My preparation included Studying 0G13 GMAT, GMAT quant and verbal guide. MGMAT 5th edition books.
I didn't took any test but the way I was solving my question I was confident that I will get good quant score even if I do bad in verbal.But All things went off track and now I dont know where to start from .

Requesting every one to please guide me as I plan to give my exam again in December 2014.

Hi karantrehan,

I'd like to confirm what you've written, just to make sure that I understand how you practiced:

You self-studied using books but did not take ANY practice CAT tests before you took your Official GMAT? Is that correct?

If that's the case, then your problems will be relatively easy to fix. You need to change your study plan, add some new study materials (and practice CAT tests) and put in some more time.

Most Test Takers need 3 months of solid study time to hit their goal scores. Since you've done some work already and you've experienced the GMAT, you have more knowledge/experience than someone who is just beginning, so this next attempt should be easier.

Why are you waiting to retake the GMAT until December?
