I can confirm that Reading is really easy on MGMAT.

Going back to the different installers of the official prep software, I can confirm that they change through time. My 2005 version is 1.0, one I downloaded last month 1.2.

I'd dare say I can have almost 4 different official simulations...

Would you happen to know how to get versions 1.0 and 1.1?

I personally found Kaplan to be a bit easy and friends of mine who used it say they felt under prepared. But I guess a lot of people seem to like it.

If they only used Kaplan materials to prep that doesn't surprise me.

I still have saved my vote,
It's been exactly 3 years since the thread/voting started. & we got more than 1000 responses, I am hoping a lot more this year. Let's see. So far ManhattanGMAT's is leading.

We'd have to ask here on the forum I think. Whoever has an installer of 1.0 and 1.1 should have those sent to Eric or some other site admin/moderator for them to upload on the website maybe? I don't think there's a problem with GMAC< the test is given away for free anyway. We'd need to find out how much the tests really differ though...

Wow, I'm gonna give a 2nd shot in 20 days and i have done GMAT prep many times, if there is really an older version with different question that would help me a lot

After you've gone through each test, do you find it helpful to go through them again, or do you think it would be better to use a prep company's CATs?

I have done GMATPrep 1&2 3 times each , so I think I'll just do GMATPrep 1 once more just before the exam just for warm up.

And yes if you have gone through GMAT PREP many times like me , it would be a better idea to focus on other prep companies' practice tests.

Do you feel that your scores are reliable though? After going through the same question bank so many times?

in that case... most likely not.. but it's good practice - as long as there are some new questions thrown in there

NEW FACTS ABOUT THE OFFICIAL TEST PREP

Ok, I have tried test 1 in v 1.0 once (690), test 1 in v 1.2 twice (710 in both cases) and this afternoon I did test 2 on version 1.2 (720)

Now, not only I found some questions from test 1 v 1.0 in test 1 v1.2 (i.e. the two installers share at least same questions), but I also found that some of these common questions (verbal ones only, though) were also in test 2, which I though was completely separated.

This said, I don't think redoing the same test twice should be demonised, soaking for myself I often couldn't remember the answer anyways.

I would attribute the increases in my score to increased acquaintance to time pacing and such.

KAPLAN Practice Tests!

Can one only take any of the free Kaplan tests, at the scheduled time ?
(https://www.kaptest.com/GMAT/Learn-and-D ... tests.html)

I am currently based in Singapore and the timings for nearly all the tests are impossible to manage.

thanks
