Dear forum,
I have with me the following:
OG 11th edition
GMAT quantitative review
GMAT verbal review

Are these sufficient for preparing for GMAT in say about 2 and half months? Is there a reason why one NEEDS the OG 12th edition?

Thanks

One doesn't NEED the OG 12th. The OG 12th and the OG 11th are for the most part the same. (About the same number of practice questions, though 1/3 of the questions in the OG 11th have been replaced with new questions). Somewehre, someone posted a link to a good analysis of the difference between the two.

As far as which other books you need, the official guides are great at providing practice questions but they don't actually teach strategies or content. I would strongly encourage you to get at least ManhattanGMAT's SC guide and GMATFix's Official Guide Companion. To see why, go to https://www.beatthegmat.com/reviews-of-o ... 33767.html and look for LulaBrazilia's very good post (about 1/2 way down the first page).

Thanks for the reply Ted. For the most part, I agree with you.

However, this thread made me pause for a bit:
