My first post, not a good start...


I just got beaten up by GMAT today- worse than what I thought in my dream. A depressing 560! whereas I was hoping for 650+ atleast

Quant= 48/ 82%
Verbal= 20/19%

I missed to answer last question in quant, not sure what was the penalty on it

Yes I didn't spend much time in preparation considering the amount of travel and long working hours. Just about 2 months of prep- an average about 1 hr daily.

However I accept the mistakes made:

"¢ Never practiced a single AWA.

"¢ Only 2 GMAT prep test- Quant- 49/50, and Verbal- 20/27 which finally reflected in my final score.

used mostly Manhattan, and GMAT Review OG12th edition, sometimes Kaplan Advanced 2009 edition

I am confident that with some more practice I can boost up Quant to 50+

But I have real trouble with Verbal section, and I am not able to understand where are my mistake and how to crack it (generally I think I am ok with CR, but RC and SC are just a pain in my A$$)

I target to do MBA only from a top 10 school (e.g. Wharton, Chicago GSB- I know these are high/tough targets..), infact I am considering EMBA base on my professional experience 7+, Non IT, Project Manager with hardcore international projects experience in various industries.

In addition, I hold Bachelor degree from top engineering school in India, Masters Degree from NUS Singapore and a PMP certification from PMI, USA

Basically I am an analytical guy; help me...

Does it make sense to repeat GMAT in two months (say about 2 hrs/day), can I improve my Verbal to 80+% in this short duration (does magic happen) ? I am already deadly busy with projects work
