I guess I beat the GMAT too. The first time I took it, I got a 700 (49Q, 36V, 5.0AWA). Was very unhappy with the score because I was late on starting the Verbal section (I was very hungry....very stupid, I know). Took it the second time around and did ok = 740 (50Q, 40V, 4.5AWA). I am hoping the GMAT score along with extracirr, alt. transcript, good exp., and good recs. is ok to mitigate the not so stellar GPA. I am a little worried considering the economy
