My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

As a recent McCombs admit for the class of 2012, I'd be happy to answer any questions about the program for anyone who is interested.

Obviously I will know more once I actually GET to Austin, but in the meantime, I can answer some general application strategy questions.

Good luck everyone!

I'm headed down there in late July. Orientation starts early August, then classes start a few weeks after that.

Just in case you guys don't know - McCombs has (and I assume still will have) rolling admissions. So the "round" deadlines they give are artificial to make sure you get your app in as soon as you can. They review the apps in the order in which they were submitted.

From what I can tell based on the gmatclub thread from this past year, people who submitted their apps around March seemed to have a tougher time getting interviews and admits.

Wednesday, July 21 McCombs is holding an online info session for anyone who is interested.

The past few years have included a lot of changes including a new core curriculum, strategic plan, and dean, so it'll likely be valuable for any prospective applicants to attend and get the information directly from the school.

Good luck!
