Aviation Analyst: To combat human error involved in air traffic control, Miro Jets Inc. has recently installed each of its DC-10 passenger planes with a special anti-collision device. The device alerts the DC-10, via a red light, when another plane is slightly more than three minutes away from a potential collision. The red light comes on and stays on until the approaching plane is safely out of range. Aviation experts at Miro Jet Inc. have determined that three minutes is ample time for a plane to divert its respective flight path to avoid a collision. Therefore, if the red light on the anti-collision device is off, the DC-10 is more than three minutes flying time from any plane.

Which of the following, if true, most fundamentally calls into question the aviation analyst's argument?

A) Recently, a near collision in which both planes were less than 90 seconds flying distance from each other was averted only by the prompt actions of air traffic controllers.

B) Some aviation experts warn that in certain cases three minutes may not provide sufficient time for aircrafts to maneuver without causing onboard injuries.

C) The anti-collision device only signals planes of oncoming directions, not those planes that are flying in parallel.

D) When two DC-10's approach each other the red lights on each aircraft do not necessarily turn on simultaneously.

E) The DC-10 is not the only aircraft model to have been installed with the anti-collision device.

The main concern of the argument is that advice has been made to alert the DC-10 via e- read when another plane is 3 minutes away from potential collision.

OPTION A:- INCORRECT
The solution provided by the analyst is another way of warning through flashing red lights, it doesn't take over the role of the traffic controllers who are still very much needed to direct the plane on how to avoid another incoming plane.

OPTION B:- INCORRECT
The argument didn't propose exactly three minutes, it endorses slightly more than three minutes. This option doesn't exactly call the argument into question because the issue of timing can be resolved.

OPTION C:- CORRECT
This option questions the aviation analyst's argument because the anti collision device only signals for incoming planes, it doesn't provide for planes which are flying parallel to each other.

OPTION D:- INCORRECT
If true, then one of the DC-10 do not necessarily have to come on so as not to confuse each other.

OPTION E:- INCORRECT
This doesn't call into question the argument, it generally help to combat human error involved in air traffic control as well as lessen collisions in aircraft.
