I am currently writing a goals essay, in which I decided to include the name of a company - a giant publicly traded pharma company - for which I manage an account. I intend to go into an industry in which I will deal with huge clients - companies that are publicly traded - on a daily basis. Therefore, I feel that it will show the adcoms that I have dealt with and resolved problems for a very large transnational company.
Is it a good idea to name a client company in the essay??
A friend of mine suggested that this may be unprofessional. I can see how this may be so if I am representing a company in court as a corporate lawyer. However, I manage logistics, freight forwarding, and trade transactions for this company.
Thanks.
