I'm stuck at (27x^7/3 - 14x^5/2) / (3x^2)

What can be done to simplify further?

i really don't know, i got this exercise at a peterson's book.

it gives a weird way to solve the x^7 and the others..... let's wait for the other's opinion...

i find the answer to be ((3x)^1/3)-((14x)^1/2)

= [{(3^4)*(x^7)}^1/3]/[{(3^2)*(x^4)}^1/2]-[{(3^2)*2*7*(x^5))}^1/2]/[{(3^3)*(x^6)}^1/3]

= [(3^4/3)*(x^7/3)]/[3*(x^2)]-[3*(2^1/2)*(7^1/2)*(x^5/2)]/[3*(x^2)]

= (3^1/3)*(x^1/3)-(2^1/2)*(7^1/2)*(x^1/2)

=(3x)^1/3 - (14x)^1/2
