Sounds like aircrafts are expensive

E. Some airline companies prefer to spend extra money on leather seats, sometimes twice as expensive as the others, for their aircraft because they last twice as long.
logitech....
dnt you think both sentences have same error...
and can they refer to aircraft(singular).........???
though i also opted for E
Ankit,

You are right my friend. So what makes E a better choice than B ?
Logitech...
First change your target score.....or its a typo....it should be 780.....

Neways i am trying to make choice E correct...
Can you now see the bold part...is the use of sometimes after extra money is correct usage..in option B

I believe both options used sometimes in a correct way; additionally , since it is a non-essential item, we can place that piece of information wherever it makes more sense to put ( preferably close to what we modify)

Let me try to put my earnest SC exercises into practice ...

Choice B: Some airline companies prefer to spend extra money, sometimes twice as expensive as the others, on leather seats for their aircraft because they last twice as long

Here if we carefully read the sentence, the second clause "sometimes twice as expensive as others" refers to the noun "extra money". In reality the clause should refer to the noun "leather seats", because it's the leather seats that are expensive and not the money.

Choice E corrects this by placing the nouns properly. This was the only valid explanation I could think of, unless other experts can chip in and present their views.

Agreed. That takes B out.
The GMAT is indeed adaptable. Whenever I answer RC, it proficiently 'adapts' itself to mark my 'right' answer 'wrong'.
