i keep on getting an incorrect answer for this equation:

I keep on getting
-1/2
when the answer in the book is 1. can someone confirm?

Are you sure you copied it correctly? Try putting (-1/2) in for x and 2 in for x. Only (-1/2) works.

Hi Tani,

Yes I did,

I guess the answer is wrong in the book!
