Just curious , it is nearing Jan end, you hava mentioned you plan to give your test in jan, have you already given your exam yet?.

Not yet. I had a fairly dramatic "change of plan" in November , and didn't do any work until this month. I'm basically just rushing one now to see what I get. I'm planning to do it next Thursday, February 5th.

I had booked a GMAT exam today, but between name confusion and having a cold, I've decided to skip it. I will try to book for one week's time - there are afternoon slots available as well, so I can get plenty of sleep before the test :)

Gid GMATPrep 1 again last night. This is one of those times when having a terrible memory is quite helpful: I only recognised about three of the questions, and I couldn't remember the answers. I got at least two of the questions I'd done before wrong.

Anyway, the breakdown was Q50, V41, overall 760. The breakdown of errors was:

Q - 5DS, 1PS
V - 4SC, 2RC

In the Q errors were one geometry, one inequalities, one on averages, and a couple of algera-related errors. Three were too tough, and three were just stupid mistakes.

In the verbal, it's actually a relief to know that I'm still mostly going wrong in one area. I can work that more over the next week.

I don't have much more time to spend on the GMAT, despite putting it back a week. The best scaled scores I've had from GMAT Prep so far have been 50 in Q, and 44 in V (in different tests). A quick Google suggests that this normally scores 770, so I'll make that my target for next week.
