wire length = 40 mtrs

one part = circle
second part=square

Therefore perimeter of circle and square = length of the wire.

circumference of circle = 2*pi*r
perimeter of square = 4s

2*pi*r + 4s = 40

4s = 40 - 2*pi*r

s = (40-2*pi*r)/4 => 10 - 1/2(pi*r)

area of the circle = pi*r^2
area of square = [10 - 1/2(pi*r)]^2

Total area = pi*r^2 + [10 - 1/2(pi*r)]^2

Hence E is the answer.
