Without any attempt to investigate their chemical nature, their mechanism of action, nor the ways where each was related to the other, quinine compounds were accepted as default therapy for malaria about a century ago.

B. "nor" should always go with "neither" (i.e. "neither X nor Y"). Since we don't have "neither" in this sentence, we shouldn't use "nor".

C. "where" will always refer to a physical location on the GMAT, not something abstract. For example, "I lived by a restaurant where I ate pasta" works, but "I had a dream where I ate pasta" doesn't - a restaurant is a place, but a dream is not. The "way" two things are related is not a physical location, so we cannot use "where" to describe it.
