I am not sure why the OA is E and not C, I usually get these types of problems wrong, what am I missing here?


Is the number of seconds required to travel d1 feet at r1 feet per second greater than thenumber of seconds required to travel d2 feet at r2 feet per second?

(1) d1 is 30 greater than d2.
(2) r1 is 30 greater than r2.

Can you please give me an instance for Yes?

(If we consider d2 lesser than r2,we get a Yes.If we consider d2 = r2, we get a No. Am I right here?)

Yes, absolutely correct.

Consider the following:

- if r2 = 2 and d2 = 3, then d2/r2 = 3/2 and (d2 + 30)/(r2 + 30) = 33/32, so this gives NO as an answer.

- if r2 = 3 and d2 = 2, then d2/r2 = 2/3 and (d2 + 30)/(r2 + 30) = 32/33, so this gives YES as an answer.

clearly insufficient. hope this helps.
