I certainly don't think you are at a disadvantage. In fact, being a female could be a positive. Business schools are on a big push to bring in underrepresented minorities to their schools, especially females. They are offering more scholarship dollars then ever before and even programs to help women prepare their applications or interviews. Good luck!
