Congrats on your awesome score!

Thanks for sharing your debrief. I've been hearing repeatedly that OG quant is not tough enough and that I should supplement my quant prep w/ Manhattan Advanced Quant. Good insight. I'm just starting my studying so I'll keep that in mind on the tail end. And build some time to focus on that book into my study schedule.

Good luck on telling your co-workers. I'm taking the same approach. Just waiting to spread the news so that I don't create unnecessary pressure for myself.

Best of luck on your next steps!!!

Okay. I had a question regarding time management. I'm able to get most of the questions correct when I attempt them under untimed circumstances but when I take timed tests, I really struggle with accuracy

Isn't it a very common thing. I guess any one of us can do well on the GMAT if we were given say 4 hours per section. The challenge is to finish it within the stipulated time

I agree with that. But my question isn't that. I'm asking for ways in which I can finish a section with having to rush towards the end ? How do I manage this because I invariably fall short on time while doing practice tests.

I think we rush for time in a section/area that we are not confident in. The more confident you are in a particular area, the lesser the time you will take so I'd rather first strengthen my basics and then worry about speed later.

Very true. I have been a victim of this. Speed is not possible at all if you don't know how to solve a question properly. Quite similar to the analogy that one needs to firstly crawl, then take baby steps before dreaming of running a marathon.

I'm also in the same boat. I haven't done anything on the IR part. Will keep a week aside for that though. Really want to make sure that i get good score on IR too.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing this. I will be taking GMAT this year(2013) in May.
I am excited and nervous both. I am weak in quants and average in Verbal.
Looking for a person who can help me prepare for GMAT. May I ask you if you can help me prepare for GMAT?

Thanks in advance,

MayaS

Sure. Please post your query and I'll try to help you. I'm not a GMAT coach but still since I've taken the GMAT, i can definitely share my experience with you

I think that we on the forums benefit from the members as much as from the GMAT instructors here so thank you for helping us out :)
