Well, Initially I thought I will not write my debrief because I didn't manage a stellar score... but then I thought how do I thank this wonderful community for helping me out through my journey? So here I am writing one and expressing my heart felt gratitude to www.beatthegmat.com.

When I started this journey around 3 months back, I thought I should aim for 730+ but then reality stuck me pretty early in my preparation and I realized that if I can manage 700 then it should be fine. (Finally @690... I guess I lost 10 points on the way).

I also realized that coming to structured study after 9-10 years (the last time I did study for an exam was during my final year of engineering in late 2000) is tough and requires a real test of character and lot of dedication.

Exam:

As regards the exam is concerned there were not too many surprises. AWA, Quant and Verbal were on the same lines as that of OG 12... I guess my concepts for Verbal were not complete and thorough and as a result I might have lost out on score. I will reinforce the belief that doing OG completely and thoroughly will sail you through and that too with good score.

Resources for preparation:
- OG 12
- MGMAT SC Guide
- Beat the GMAT forum
- CR Bible
- Knewton course

Finally my sincerest thanks to beat the gmat community for helping me out, both explicitly (via all the articles) and implicitly (I won the Knewton course via a contest on BTG, I used the flash cards and all the forums) in my preparation...

Thank you guys... You Rock !
