How many times have you taken the GMAT? I went to an info session for Kellogg recently, and the admissions representative said that since most people take the test more than once, they want to see you at least make another attempt if you score well under their average. If you get a similar score on the second attempt, at least they know that you put forth the effort to take it again. She also noted that they rarely see significant improvement after 3 tries.

In your case, since you did so well on the practice tests, I would absolutely take it again. Was there any reason you were able to identify for the discrepancy in scores, like test day nerves or distractions at the test center?

i guess the nerves really messed me up on test day...
i can still remember that i could almost hear my heart beat throughout the test...

anyways... i am taking the test again... with one aim to keep my cool on test day..

if you only took it once a scored a 620 then yes 100% take it again...
