600 1st diag. studied for 1 week... possible to get 700?

Hi Guys,

new to this site... I studied for about 9 days before I took my first gmat prep diagnostic. I got a 600. I am aiming to take the test by November 20th. I would like, just as everyone else, to break 700...

Does anyone have any insight? Success stories? Tried and tested study methods?

I have the official guide and the kaplan supplemental books.

Sentence correction is definitely the section that kills me on the verbal and on the quantitative I need to improve all around.

I appreciate anyone's help and thank you in advance!!!

600 is a great score after studying for only 9 days.

Nov 20 is a pretty tight timeline. I typically suggest that students achieve their target score on at least 2 practice tests before they take the test. So, if you're a week away from test day, and you still haven't cracked 700, I suggest that you reschedule (costs $50 to do so).

In addition to learning the core concepts and GMAT-specific strategies, be sure to work on your endurance and test-taking skills (e.g., time management) by taking several practice tests.

Even if you give GMAT by 20th Nov , you would be hard pressed to finish your essays for the R2 applications this year(the deadlines are around December end).
But i can tell you that 2 months is decent enough time to improve your score considerably(if you are devoting proper time).
And for SC try the Manhattan SC guide , its awesome and easy to get along with.
