Hi Team,
I recently completed my GMAT with a score of 550 (39Q,26V). However, due to certain circumstances I would not want to retry the GMAT again.
I am looking for colleges which are good with Operations Management, 2 year fulltime MBA over the US,Canada and Singapore. With an Engineering background, and 3 years of IT experience in an MNC, can you kindly suggest me which b-schools would be of best choice to apply.
Appreciate your help!
Thanks a lot,
Sujith

honestly I am not really that much of an expert in mid tier type MBA Programs. Unfortunately with that GMAT, you will be seeking an MBA probably from schools in the 50 - 100 ranked region. You also don't mention your post MBA goals (I assume focused on Operations etc.) and any extra curriculars and volunteer work, which may bolster your application. cheers, alex

Speaking about volunteer work, I do volunteer work in parallel to my work within the company. Is that valid?

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "in parallel", but I assume it would count. It helps show your passion, that you are well rounded, and care about things other than what directly impacts you etc. cheers, alex

Parallel as in weekend volunteer getaways.
Also, I'd like to know if a bschool having say 600-700 80% (mid range),would they go ahead if they find a 550 applicant? If no, in your experience, what other parts of my profile needs to improve.
Thanks Alex.

Basically your 550 will be out of their 80% range! but there will be a few admits in the bottom 10%. The low GMAT will need to be mitigated by a good GPA first and foremost. Then strong experiences, volunteer work, and good goal focus. cheers, Alex
