it is not a 700...but this post is for all those people out there like me who are happy with their 600+....with my expierence working for the biggest bank in the world HSBC and a 630...I will not have a problem getting into my school of choice..thats being York, U of Toronto, or Queens in Canada.

Debrief for all those regular folks....

and most important...

GMATPrep...I did this at least 7 times in the last 6 weeks....was my score inflated each time..hell yes...but this is as close to the gmat as one can get!!!

This is all you need to achieve your target score!

TEST DAY - June 4th, 2009

AWA - This was a breeze...Did not over exert myself...just took it easy. My first attempt when I scored a 530..I got 6 for the essays, so did not practice much this time around.

Q - 42

Wow was this ever hard for me. I picked my battles and finished with 1 min. to spare. I quessed (educated) on probably 10 questions, 7 or 8 being DS....DS was killer...thought I bombed Q with like a 37 or so..but the 42 will do...

V - 34

AGAIN...WOW!!!! I feel like i guessed on EVERY SINGLE SC...I felt they all could have been right and found very little errors in the answer choices...this was no where close to GMATPrep....

The CR was fairly easy...I feel I nailed it...

as for RC..1 got 3 short and 1 longggggg and i mean longggg passage...but I took my time and answered them....It was me against the clock as I was left with 3 q's and 3 minutes....guessed on 39 and 40...and then had 2 min with 41

When it came time to report scores, I was 10000% sure I scored less then 530...and I was sooooo damn happy to see the 630 pop up..anything in the 600's and I was happy..heck..even a 590...but a 630 is above cut off and in the middle of the range of my choices so I am pretty confident it will be enough and I do not have to EVER write this damn exam again!

so for all those out there who are not aiming for a 700...just be confident and you can do it!

Hey tdadic84

In your post u mentioned that u have given the Gmat prep several times
does it help in the real exam.

I mean the questions in the real exam was close to or same as Gmat prep questions??

Just wanted to know....

the questions were veryyyy similar...they are all real retired questions...

the reason i took it several times is becuase the whole interface and design is identical to the real gmat...so when I wrote the gmat, it just felt like another practice test...

Congratulations. I'm aiming for York University as well. I agree, your 630 should be fine.

CONGRATULATIONS! Thats a fantastic feat! Im applying for York and Rotman MBA's too next year. Im working on the GMAT right now. Unfortunately scoring 520 at the moment on the practice tests. I live in Winnipeg and actually dont know anyone first hand from those schools. Do you have any insight on the profile of people accepting the offers from those school. Do you know first hand any alumni from those programs? What do they say about their experiences?
