Help needed in IR

Hello Friends,

With just a week to go for my tests I am struggling to get my IR scores in place. I am scoring 3-4.

I have finished the problems in GMAT OG twice but fail mostly in timing in the tests?

What is a decent score in IR, can you help to push up my IR score in the last few days?

Hi Dean Jones,

Relative to the other parts of the GMAT, the IR section is far less important to most Business Schools. Your time might be better spent doing a bit more review/work on the Quant and Verbal sections.

That having been said, the only way to get around your pacing problem is to sacrifice a couple of the IR questions. Since IR prompts don't give partial credit, in a multi-part question, you have to answer all the questions correctly otherwise you get 0 points. You'd be best served by dumping whatever questions you think are too hard (and dump them quickly), so that you can spend your time nailing the other questions.

As a general bit of advice, most IR questions are based primarily on note-taking and pattern-matching. Not taking enough notes is likely causing most of your problems.

Is there a penalty in IR like in Quant and Verbal secions, if I am not able to reach the last question?
