14 days to go - Final Strategy

by mguerreiro001 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:27 am
I scored 620 in the first time and I will take the test again on March 3rd. My goal is a 700. This is what I'm planning to do in the next days.

Petersons - 3 full-tests
Manhattan - Test 5 and 6
Kaplan CD (2007-2008) - Tests 1,2,3 and 4
Review OG 11th PS and DS last questions (the toughest)

This is how I've been doing so far
MGMAT 1 - 710
MGMAT 2 - 720
MGMAT 3 - 730
MGMAT 4 - 760 (Math is stuck at 47 but Verbal is going up, up and up)
KAPLAN ONLINE - 660
POWERPREP 1 - 730

I'm planning to leave Kaplan for the last days. I hope this time I'll beat the monster!!!

Let's see if I can manage to take all this practice tests and get a good score.

Good luck, it seems like you're on a solid path toward your goal! One piece of advice--think about switching out your Petersen's tests with Princeton Review. PR is probably a more reliable practice test to use.

Hi mguerreiro001,

You seem to be heading towards the right direction.
As all the tests have different algorithm, the best way to estimate scores would be to base it on statistics obtained by analysing scores of other recent GMAT takers.

If you can find some one in the list attached who has the smallest SD with your score graph, I think it will sum up your estimate.

This list is currently small, Do post your score so that I can keep expanding this list. This method would
Be useful for other GMAT users to find whether they are ready for their test:)

Thank you fellows. Blue_Lotus, I will update the spreadsheet as soon as I finish my preparation.

Eric, I agree with you. I took one of petersen's tests yesterday and it was really easy.
