Thanks for the details. I'm afraid with your years of experience and age, full time MBA programs are more of a long shot as you have to think about how old you will be at the start of each program. As I mentioned I might consider the sloan fellows programs which are kind of those in between a full t...

Hi Ivanzax, I totally agree with Jon - best to wait until R1 at this point. You've got a great profile - thanks for all the details. Great work experience and extra curriculars- but that GMAT just won't cut it I'm afraid for your schools of choice. You really want to try and get 75-80th percentile o...

Hi, So it sounds like you are just interested in Canadian schools? From your first message it sounded like what other schools besides canadian schools should you consider! You've got an interesting profile though with 10 years exp. it's above the average. May I ask your age? You might need to consid...

Hi, yes they would definitely question it and wonder if you just did it to benefit your application, but if it's something you want to do and are passionate about, go for it and definitely include it in your application. It won't hurt your application.
Best,

Hi Optinum, I'm sorry to hear that. Indeed you would have to do a lot of explaining in your application, but they are all valid reasons of course. Admissions committees are certainly human too so they will understand as long as you have good reason. As nothing is guaranteed or set in stone, I would ...

Hi @Div236, I think the schools you've chose are good options, however for LBS you'll need a higher gmat score since you will be competing in the indian applicant pool. The other schools are less competitive so your score should be fine. You've got some great work experience and career progression a...

Hi there, Yes of course you have a shot! However it will really come down to what you did in your role, what responsibilities you've had, what accomplishments you've made and any leadership role you have demonstrated. Also they will want to know what your post MBA plans are and why you are intereste...

Yes I agree with Scott. I would look at all the schools deadlines so HEC's next one is April 1, May 1 and June 1 whereas ESSEC's final ones are March 1 and May 1. Look at your other schools' deadlines and plan your gmat test accordingly. I would apply with a strong gmat score so would give yourself ...

Hi, Which schools you are applying to - are you talking about INSEAD and HEC? Others? Top schools will require a strong GMAT score so I definitely would not apply if you have a low score. What is low exactly and what percentiles in quant and verbal? April is generally late for most schools but it re...

That's great - sounds like you are very involved which helps create a well rounded profile. Entrepreneurial ideas are definitely important for an MBA - you can often illustrate this when they ask what your short term/long term goals are. If you ever want to chat about which schools might be a good f...
