Topic: Download my free GMAT Flashcards!
PostSun Apr 02, 2006 8:30 pm

During my GMAT preparation, I made close to 300 flashcards to help me stay fresh on the strategies and materials I had studied over the course of several months. The document linked below contains the digitized version of my flashcards--please use them as a study aid.
Also, seriously consider making your own deck of flashcards for your own studies. You will be surprised by how much you commit to memory by simply writing down concepts on paper.

Best of luck!

hi there,

your flashcards are the best I have ever seen. however, they will be improved if you can provide one example question of each of them. you can simply point to a question number in the OG.

on problem I really couldn't understand is this one:

Q: Percent
15 is 3/5 percent of what number?
3/5 percent = 3/500
15 = (3/500) x whole
whole = 2500

my answer is:

P/W = percent
15/w = (3/5)*100 = 60
w = 60*15=900

am I missing something here?

Thanks for downloading my flashcards! I hope that you find them useful for your studies...

Let me try to clarify that question:

15 is 3/5 percent of what number?

The wording is the tricky part of this question. When you see this kind of question on the GMAT, you should interpret it as:

15 is 3/5 of 1 percent of what number?

1 percent = 1/100

So, 3/5 of 1 percent = (3/5) x (1/100) = 3/500

15 = (3/500)(whole)
whole = 2500

I hope that's a little more clear.

If you are a registered user, you should have permission to download. Non-members do not have such permissions.

Try logging off, logging back on and then clicking on the file you wish to download.

If that doesn't work, just let me know. Thanks.

When downloading, be sure to save the file to your computer. Do not try opening from the link.

I hope that works, thanks.

Excellent flashcards. However, I think there's a mistake on page 46, first box -- it says odd x odd = even. I think you meant to put odd x odd = odd.

Thanks for the catch, kidderek!

Consider making your own set of flashcards as well. I learned so much from the process...

Best of luck!

I've made the correction and re-uploaded the document.

Thanks!
