Hello everyone,

I am a new joiner to this forum. I like this forum especially the way things are organized. I have seen other forums where searching for information is a nightmare.

I joined this group after my first attempt at "beating the GMAT" when I got a score of 600. I was aiming a score in the range of 700-800 and hence was disappointed.

Coming to think of what might have gone wrong, I guess I was over-confident. I did prepare a lot though. I used the following resources:
1. OG 11th Edition
2. OG Quant Review & Verbal Review
3. GMATPrep practice tests
4. Free practice tests from ManhattanGMAT, PR, Kaplan & Veritas
5. Manhattan SC 2003 edition
6. Kaplan 800 book

In the practice tests, I was scoring in the range of 610-680.

Now that I have tried it once, I want to make my second attempt at GMAT within another 2 months.

I would request the experts in the forum to help me in coming up with the best prep strategy for my next attempt.

I think I am a little weak on verbal, especially SC & RC. In SC, there have been times when I felt the official answers are wrong. In RC, I have difficulty in passages which have non-interesting content.

From the forum members, I am looking for inputs on the following:
1. In terms of online tests, which ones closely mimic the actual and hence a worth buy?
2. For improving verbal skills, what are the best resources to have?
3. Is it advisable to join coaching classes? I am in India & hence only Kaplan & PR are available. Among them which is better?
4. Any comments on GMAT Write and GMAT Focus resources provided by mba.com? Is it really worth the money?
