Hi...gmatmachoman wrote:riteshbindal wrote:The level of ps/ds question was much much higher than OG-12. When I was at question 50, I was thrown some geometry questions which had one triangle with multiple triangles inside it and every two triangles were joined with another lines. You can imagine the state when 2 mins left for 2 qs and you get such PS question. I just ticked D for it. This was a trick from princeton that for tough DS qs, you should always guess A (if you are doing blind guess) and for tough PS, guess D.xcusemeplz2009 wrote:ritesh ,riteshbindal wrote:Hi Guys,
I took the GMAT just now and scored 710. Nerves got over me in both the sections, Q and V. After completing quant, I thought that my score would be 48 - 49 and I got very tensed. This got reflected on my verbal as well. I took more time initially and later on, in 15 mins, I had to complete 15 questions. I was so tensed that I was unable to understand any passage or RC.
In my tests, I was consistently scoring 740 - 750 with the lowest score of 720 in Gmat prep two weeks back.
I am not sure what to do. Should I retake? I am planning to apply for ISB and INSEAD. My expectation today was to get 720 - 740. But after doing badly on verbal, while waiting for the score I was expecting around 690 . How much does the difference between 710 and 740 matters for b schools?
Edited: After looking at the average scores of all top b schools, I figured out that this score is good enough for any college to consider you. So guys, I will soon post a debrief. Just want to take some rest now.
can u tell how was the level of questions bth in Q(ps/DS) and V (sc,rc,cr).
For more details, I will put my debrief.
Bro!!
Where is the debrief??we r waiting for u !!!
At last I posted my debrief which is not brief

I am looking for one year MBA and my targets are pretty limited right now, ISB or INSEAD. I will look for pagalguy forum to get the required information. Which schools are you targeting for?

Hi all,
I am getting many requests to send out Sets which I mentioned in my debrief.
It will be good if I upload sets in this post.
Eric, is it ok, if I post sets on this site?
Thanks.

Hi Guys,
Just got the AWA score. It's 5. Not bad, considering that I just read how to do AWA a day before GMAT day!

Awesome score Ritesh.. Congrats..
1 quick question. I read your post about approaching RC problems.. You said you used to make notes at start but later you practiced without notes did this impact in anyway in real GMAT ?

No, I don't think it impacted in a negative way. I figured it out in my practice tests also that I was faster and more accurate without notes. It gives more time for answering questions.
