Am I selling myself short?

by kevconsultant » Sat Feb 13, 2010 6:48 pm
Hi,

I have a 2.98 gpa dual bachelors (BA/BS) in Biology and Finance from a liberal arts college in PA.

650 GMAT

I have 2 years of work experience in pharmaceutical marketing research/strategy consultancy and have been promoted once. I have lead a project and constantly working in a team setting.

So far I have been accepted to BU's Heathcare Management program, however I did not apply to any "top" MBA programs. Should I wait another year and take a shot at the top 10 programs? Is there any part of my profile that seems particularly weak?

I highly doubt that with a low GPA, slightly less work experience and average GMAT score will get you into top 10. However, that should not stop you from applying to tier 2 schools. You qualify for such schools and it would certainly open doors of golden opportunities for you in the future. Hope this helps! Please email me directly if you have further questions.

Good Luck!
