Is x>y?
1) x+y<0
2)x-y>0
(1) x + y < 0. The only manipulation you can get from this is that x < -y. This doesn't seem like much help so let's produce a counter example.
Choose x = -1, y = -2. Then x + y = -3 < 0 and x > y.
Choose x = -2, y = -1. Then x + y = -3 < 0 and x < y.
This is insufficient.
(2) x - y > 0. Add y to both sides and we get x > y. This is sufficient. The answer is B.
