XY PLANE-GMAT PREP

If k is a line in the xy-plane, what is the slope of k?


1. The x intercept of k is 2
2. The y intercept of k is 3.



Answer is C....

Please let me know if my justification is wrong...

1. INSUF...we know one coordinate will be 2,0 but have no slope
2. INSUF...we know one coordinate will be 0,3 but have no slope

1 and 2 SUFF....finding the slope of -3/2.....

IS THIS SLOPE CORRECT?

y=mx+c. what is the value of m?

m=change in y/change in x.


A: x intercept of k is 2 i.e at point (2,0). Insufficient.
B: y intercept of k is 3 i.e at point (0,3). Insfuffient.

we know the two point of line K. we can easily determing its slope.
