Hi,

I need help with college selection and profile evaluation. Please see my details below:

GMAT - 650
AWA - awaited
GPA - 2.5
Work ex - 5.5 years in IT
2 years in US (client location) as Team lead
Was Vice president of a Company Outreach program for 3 years.
Have worked with Company HR in organizing many of their programs.
Received Above and beyond award last year for my work.
My project received most Innovative project award

I am looking for 1year or 2 year full time MBA programs in US or India. I plan to apply for the ongoing R2 for some colleges. If not possible, I can wait a year and apply for 2013 fall. By then I'll have 6.5 years of experience.

Greatly appreciate your help. I expected a 700 in GMAT, but with a low score, I am little lost and need help.

Study harder and take the GMAT again. A 650's not an awful score but it's not a great score either. I got a 660, am currently completing a MSF degree, and have been accepted into a 30's MBA ranked program with 50% scholarship for the fall. Even though my GMAT wasn't great my interview went well and I was able to convince them I'd be marketable (which is all any school really cares about anyways).

Hi
Unfortunately the score is low to make it into top schools. So you have two options either apply to universities with less gmat requirement or give you gmat again.
You have global work exp so that should add considerably to your essay stories. Make sure you highlight it well. All the best!
