GMAT Prep Question Exponents

by hurkflava » Mon May 18, 2009 6:31 pm
This is my first post.
I know this is so easy. However, I do not know what the heck to do with this.

5^21 * 4^11 = 2 * 10 ^ n

What is the value of n?

a)11
b)21
c)22
d)23
e)32

Can someone please clue me in
Thanks
Dre

(4)^11 = (2^2)^11 = 2^22

5^21 * 2^21 *2

2(5*2)^21 = 2*10^21

n= 21
