The car travelled for 2 hours from 7:00 till 9:00. At what speed was the car moving at 8:00?

(1) During the journey the car went 120 mph

(2) The car traveled at constant speed throughout the journey

1) Just gives the average speed for the entire journey. The car could have been going at 150mph or 90 mph at 8:00am. Insufficient.

2) We know the car was moving at a constant speed, but no information about speed. Insufficient.

Taken together, the car moved at a constant speed of 120mph, therefore, the car was going at 120mph at 8:00am. Sufficient.
