Nick and Calvin took part in a 100 mile car race.Nick covered the first 50 miles at 50mile/hr and Calvin drove the entire race at a constant speed of 60 miles/hr. If Nick took 20% less time than Calvin, what should Nicks speed be in the second half ???

Calvin 100 miles @ 60 = 100/60 = 100 mins

Nick takes 20% less time than Calvin, so Nick completes at 80 mins.

We know he covers 50 miles @ 50 - which is 60 mins, so remaining 50 should be covered in 20 mins - 150 mph.
